Procida

In order to admire in full the beauty and try the quite of the island is necessary to have a tour in the streetlets and alleis of the small and coloured villages and go deep into the fragrance of the mediterranian undergrowth.

The first sign of population on the island start since 8th century b.C. when the Calcidesi arrived here, after them the greek colonized procida (evidence of their passage are still visible around the island).

The romans was not very very interested to the island because of its volcanic nature. In the high middle age Procida was frequently attacked by the muslim pirates conseguently the population moved on the hill of Torre Murata.

n the low middle age the island had its rulers after them passed to Borboni kingdom.

Do not forget to visit the marina of the Chiaiolella and the fishing village Corricella where the fischerman’s house clutch to the high rocky coast form a kaleidoscopic and typical town.
