Naples

According to legend, Naples was founded by the syren Partenope, which is why it is called the Parthenopean city.

Naples was founded in 600b.c. by the Greeks and the Romans took over in 320 b.C.

It is very rich in history with buildings, churches and monuments dates back centuries like the National Museum (which is one of the best archeological museums in the world), the neo-classic San Carlo Theatre and the sumptuous Royal Palace, the huge medieval castle "Maschio Angioino", "Castel Nuovo" (New Castle) and fabulous baroque churches.

Naples is the capital of the "Bel Canto" joyfull or melancholy accompained by a guitare or a mandoline.

The restaurants of Saint Lucia and the pizzerie of the old town serve delicious dishes seasoned with tomato and accompained by the white and red wines of Capri and Ischia, Lacrima Christi and Gragnano.

The fashionable Via Chiaia,Via dei Mille leading into Piazza dei Martiri are know as the best shopping area with luxury shops.
